Klaas Meekel has over 30 years experience in town and regional planning.
At the start of his career he worked on projects for the South African Defence Force before joining the Johannesburg City Council. He then moved into the private sector as a partner in two consultancy firms specialising in the field of town and regional planning, and during this time he established a new office for the firm in East London.
In 1990 Klaas became the Property Development Manager for a JSE listed company engaged in identifying and assessing land for development and investment. Projects included both land and building developments.
Prior to moving to Australia, Klaas was the Managing Member of Broadplan Property Consultants where he managed all aspects of town and regional planning and property development.
Klaas joined WS Group in early 2007 and, as Senior Town Planner for the Mackay office, his knowledge and considerable planning experience ensures that our clients receive the best advice and support for their development projects.
